“Arenas de Barcelona” starts with a slow introduction with a solo nylon guitar accompanied lightly by some woodwind instruments. It gets louder and more dramatic with the entry of the horns which gradually are joined by the rest of the band. The work proceeds with a Spanish Paso Doble where the Solo Trumpet plays a very important role.
